Pedals & Effects

A guitar pedal lets you add a variety of sound effects to your electric instrument, such as delay, reverb, distortion, wah-wah, and more. To run a guitar pedal, you will need two cables – one to run from your instrument to the pedal’s input, and one to connect the pedal’s output with the sound output, usually an amplifier or a mixing board. You will also need a power source, typically a 9-volt DC adapter or a 9-volt battery, going up to 12 or even 18 volts in some cases. If you are using multiple pedals, additional cables are required to interconnect all the pedals.

It is recommended that you use short cables for hooking up your pedals, as well as a pedalboard for easier power distribution.

Setting up your pedalboard all comes down to personal tastes, and what works well for one guitar player might be totally wrong for the next one. But the pedals that we chose proved to be useful for many different settings and musical styles.
